Michelle Swann,  Associate

Michelle Swann joined the Firm in 2007 and practices in the areas of municipal law, including general legal advice, employment, First Amendment and public records, contracts, and litigation.  She also represents private clients in litigation matters, including civil rights cases, intellectual property and trademark matters, and contract disputes.  Prior to joining the firm, she worked for a national private firm and for the Office of the Arizona Attorney General.  Her litigation experience includes civil rights and constitutional torts, media/First Amendment law, insurance defense, securities litigation and administrative hearings, and general civil litigation.  She has appeared before federal and state lower and appellate courts, administrative and securities tribunals, and the juvenile and criminal lower and appellate courts for an Arizona Indian Tribe.

Ms. Swann is a third generation Arizonan, graduating from Arizona State University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology degree.  She attended the Illinois Institute of Technology's Chicago-Kent College of Law, graduating in 1999 with High Honors and is a member of the Order of the Coif.  She has published six articles.  She is licensed to practice law in Arizona and is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
