Ms. Wendel attended the University of Colorado School of Law, graduating in 1991. She is licensed to practice law in both Arizona and Colorado. She attended Smith College, Massachusetts and graduated from Pomona College, California in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies.

She is a member of the Arizona State Bar Association and Maricopa County Bar Association.
